My husband, James, grew up playing on Nintendo consoles. He is still a huge fan of Nintendo consoles. He has one of the original Nintendo consoles that is as old as he is. He will still spend hours playing on it.
Our son's first video game experience was on that realy old Nintendo console. However, now that we have the Nintendo Wii he has agreed that it is time to let go of the old Nintendo console. He agreed, but somehow it has not made it out of the basement. If he wants to keep his original Nintendo console that is fine, it means a lot to him. I am just glad that many of the games he was playing on it are now available on the Nintendo Wii. All he needed to get the games was an internet conector for the Wii and a Wii card. I suspect that is the only reason it is not still hooked up to our bedroom's TV. I find it somewhat ironic that we have the newest Nintendo system and what James loves the most is being able to play the games he grew up with.
